Your Lift-Away on wheels |

Dear Mr. Mark Rosenzweig:
When my wife and I saw your infomercial , we really liked what we saw. Like many, we have had a closet full of vacuums over the years. Canisters and uprights, Panasonic, Kirby, Hoover and lately, Oreck. All of these use paper bags, which were not only expensive, but leaked dust back into the room. We actually had to maintain two vacs—one was a canister and one and upright. We loved the idea of “bagless” vacuums, but weren’t about to plunk down $600 for an experiment. The leading brand looked heavy and unwieldy. Then we saw you and the Lift-Away. We purchased the Pro at Bed Bath and Beyond. We feel the $20 extra for the Pro was well worth the price. Of course we love it. No more bags, quieter operation, no need for two vacuums, the room doesn’t smell like the dog during and after vacuuming. But then you already know all this. So why did I think the Lift-Away needed wheels? My wife loves the Pro but had trouble lugging the vac in the canister mode. She has several debilitating medical conditions which make even this light weight vacuum a chore for her. I am a big time do it yourselfer and even build my own house. Yes, I drove every nail! I looked at the Lift-Away Pro and envisioned it on wheels in the canister mode. So I made a pattern of the base, went out in the shop and cut a piece of pine to fit on the base. I routed a channel for the Pro to fit down into my wooded base, attached 4 swivel caster wheels I bought at Home Depot, and painted it white. The best part—this crude device WORKED. I envision a finished “Scooter” being made of plastic to match either the Standard Lift-Away or the Pro—3 or 4 wheels—and a locking post so when the vac is unsnapped from the floor head, it would snap on and off of the scooter the same way it snaps on and off of the floor head attachment. I have not shared this with anyone else. I have no patent nor do I intend to get one. I am just a 66 year old retired firefighter who often fashions devices to make other devices run better. I have several other “million dollar” inventions that I guess will die with me. I wanted to share this with you because I thought it had some value, especially for those who have difficulty lifting anything. If you haven’t already thought of this, I hope you love it. I make no demands, but if you think I should be “rewarded” in some way, I wouldn’t turn you down. Again, we are very happy with our Lift-Away Pro and we tell everyone we know about the product.
Cheers
