You can see the valve directly at the base of the tank (closed position) and the valve to the left of it going to the pump (open) There are extra valves since this is tied into another tank I have and the domestic rain water system. The domestic rain water system pump house is just behind the green water tank and not part of the fire protection system.
You need 2 inch pvc pipe to go to the pump - the intake is 2 inch NPT and all the pvc at Home Depot fits the pump with the exception of the hose connection which I will explain in a later photo
